Softball Recap: Minster Victorious

With a playoff win on the line, Minster rose to the challenge on Thursday. They came out on top against the Parkway Panthers by a score of 9-4. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

Brooklyn Osterloh spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on nine hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Minster got a massive performance out of Addi Inskeep, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. Inskeep has been hot, having posted at least one home run the last five times she's played. Caroline Knapke was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

Minster's win bumped their record up to 17-6. As for Parkway, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 16-4 record.

As of now, neither Minster nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
