Softball Recap: Hawken Hawks vs. Brush Arcs

Hawken couldn't beat Brush on Friday even though they stacked 11 runs on them in the fourth inning. The Hawks came up short against the Arcs, falling 22-16. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Arcs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-14 two weeks ago.

Elisa Recinos was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Madison Thomas also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Hawken has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Brush, their victory bumped their record up to 10-5.
