Highland put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Salem Greyhounds as the Highland Rebels made off with a 13-1 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Rebels also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.
Zac Huckabee was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Mason Sinclair was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Highland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Salem only posted an OBP of .417.
Highland pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Salem, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-4.
Looking ahead, Highland will take on Westside at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Salem, they will face off against Mountain View at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
