After losing to Legend the last time they met, Cherry Creek decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bruins walked away with an 8-5 win over the Titans on Monday. The victory was nothing new for the Bruins as they're now sitting on five straight.

Wyatt Rudden tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Tyson Thome, who scored two runs while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Scott, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Cherry Creek pushed their record up to 6-4-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Legend, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-7.

Cherry Creek has already played their next match, a 16-0 win against Smoky Hill on the 8th. As for Legend, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 8-6 victory against Castle View on the 11th.
