Softball Game Preview: Winter Haven Blue Devils vs. Hardee Wildcats

The Winter Haven Blue Devils will square off against the Hardee Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Winter Haven has given up an average of 8.8 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Winter Haven is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games on Friday. They came up short against Fort Meade, falling 11-2.

Meanwhile, Hardee might've scored the first runs on Friday, but it was DeSoto County who claimed the real prize. The Wildcats fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 6-5.

Hardee saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dalilah Medrano, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Winter Haven's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Hardee, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

Winter Haven came out on top in a nail-biter against Hardee in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, sneaking past 9-7. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
