Softball Recap: Westfield Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Westfield, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top against the Indianapolis Bishop Chatard Trojans by a score of 8-4 on Friday.

Westfield saw nine different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Kainrath, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Westfield is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.9 runs over those games. As for Indianapolis Bishop Chatard, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8.

Westfield has already played their next game, an 8-4 win against Hamilton Heights on the 5th. As for Indianapolis Bishop Chatard, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 14-0 victory against Indianapolis Scecina Memorial on the 3rd.
