Christ Our Rock Lutheran had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.1 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Marquette Catholic Explorers. That's more bragging rights for the Silver Stallions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Katie Oelze, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. Alayna French was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Christ Our Rock Lutheran pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Marquette Catholic, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-9.

Coming up, Christ Our Rock Lutheran will square off against Brownstown/St. Elmo at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
