Parlier led West Sequoia in scoring this week after putting up 47 points on Minarets.
Caruthers made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 11,403 from 11,646. The improvement came about via a 19-7 victory over Orosi last week.
The Mustangs' dynamic duo of Keenan Reardon and Sam Reyes proved tough for the Panthers to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Reardon threw for 110 yards and one touchdown and Reyes had 95 yards receiving. Conner Reid helped Minarets' passing attack out by catching two balls for 10 yards.
Hugo Martinez was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 86 yards on five carries as Fowler lost to Parlier. Matt Nunes also contributed to the rushing game with 61 yards on the ground.
Cooper Manley made the biggest impact on defense this week as Jay Smoljan's team lost to David Muro's team. The 5-foot-6 senior racked up two sacks.
Thanks to the talents of James Silva and Martinez the Redcats have been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Silva leads the league in passing with 1113 yards, while Martinez has rushed for 761 yards this season. The Mustangs' Reyes leads the league in receiving yards with 365 on 20 catches.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Fowler takes on second place Caruthers. Fowler beat Riverdale last week, while the Blue Raiders bested the Cardinals.
