Football Preview: Colton Yellowjackets vs. Fontana Steelers
After each having a week off, the Colton Yellowjackets and the Fontana Steelers will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Colton will be strutting in after a victory while Fontana will be coming in after a loss.
Colton gave up the first points last Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with a 28-21 win over Rim of the World. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Yellowjackets.
Colton found their leader in underclassman Koa Regalado, who threw for 191 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 69 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. Kyle Mejia was Regalado's top target, picking up 69 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Fontana was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap two weeks ago as they fell 26-20 to El Rancho.
Despite the defeat, Fontana had strong showings from Christian Perez, who rushed for 144 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, and Akari Augustine, who gained 134 total yards and a touchdown. Augustine got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 80 yards.

Colton's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-1. As for Fontana, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
