Preview: Cascade Ramblers vs. Horseshoe Bend Mustangs
Cascade has been on the road for six straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Horseshoe Bend Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Cascade stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard last Saturday. They put the hurt on Council with a sharp 60-35 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Cascade has posted since December 14, 2023.
Meanwhile, Horseshoe Bend had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took down Salmon River 68-52 on Saturday. The victory was just what Horseshoe Bend needed coming off of a 71-42 loss in their prior contest.
Horseshoe Bend's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaelun Jones, who scored 17 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jones has scored all season. Layth Bromgard was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 18 rebounds.
Cascade's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Horseshoe Bend, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.
Everything went Cascade's way against Horseshoe Bend in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 as Cascade made off with a 65-39 win. Does Cascade have another victory up their sleeve, or will Horseshoe Bend turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
