Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Mount Sinai's Tenth in Last 11 Outings

Mount Sinai had won two straight games and Dominic Pennzello did his part to make it three on Tuesday. The Mount Sinai Mustangs strolled past the Sayville Golden Flashes with points to spare, taking the game 71-52 thanks in part to Pennzello, who posted 27 points. His afternoon made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Kolsch, who had 11 points and five assists. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Mount Sinai is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.3 points per game. As for Sayville, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Mount Sinai will face off against Miller Place at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Mount Sinai knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 17 contests -- so hopefully Miller Place likes a good challenge. Sayville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
