Basketball Recap: Grace Academy Knights vs. Shalom Christian Academy Flames
The Grace Academy Knights lost against the Shalom Christian Academy Flames back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Grace Academy took a 45-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Flames.
Shalom Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Maya Lehman, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. It was the first time this season that Lehman pulled down eight or more rebounds. Addison Adams was another key contributor, scoring six points along with eight steals and five rebounds.
Grace Academy's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-4. As for Shalom Christian Academy, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-5.
Grace Academy will be playing at home against the Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Shalom Christian Academy is on the road again on Tuesday and plays the at 5:15 p.m. on February 6th. New Life Christian comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 16 points in their last six games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
