Basketball Recap: Beckett Sooter's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Miami over Hilldale

Miami lost against Hilldale back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Miami Wardogs took a 63-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hilldale Hornets. The Wardogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Miami lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Beckett Sooter, who posted 16 points and seven assists. That's the most assists he has posted since back in January. Waike Roblyer was another key player, putting up six points and 11 rebounds.

Miami's loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Hilldale, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-11.

Miami does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hilldale, they are taking a road trip to square off against Crossings Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Crossings Christian will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Hilldale surely won't give up without a fight.
