Basketball Recap: Antigo Takes a Loss

Antigo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Crandon Cardinals, falling 66-26. While losing is never fun, the Red Robins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 398th, while the Cardinals are ranked 96th).

Antigo's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Crandon, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 17-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Antigo will square off against Green Bay East at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Antigo is facing Green Bay East at the right time seeing as Green Bay East is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Crandon, they will take on Medford at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Medford's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.
