Volleyball Recap: Fort Wayne Northrop Comes Up Short

Fort Wayne Northrop lost against Leo on September 2nd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bruins took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Maleah Schmucker paced Fort Wayne Northrop's offense, picking up four kills. Schmucker got some help from Madison Corley and her seven assists. Allana McWilliams and Harmony Collins kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Fort Wayne Northrop's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Leo, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-11 record this season.

Fort Wayne Northrop wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against West Noble on the 27th. As for Leo, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Fishers on the 27th.
