Softball Recap: La Canada's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

While La Canada's win against Temple City wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Spartans had just enough and edged out the Rams 5-3. The victory was nothing new for the Spartans as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Ava Perry was excellent, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Wurm, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

La Canada's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-6-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Temple City, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.

As of now, neither La Canada nor Temple City have any future games scheduled.
