Volleyball Recap: Jefferson Davis Academy Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Colleton Prep Academy, Jefferson Davis Academy was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the South Aiken Baptist Christian CRUSADERS. The win continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the CRUSADERS: they've now won six in a row.

MATTIE MORRIS had an outrageously good game as she had 19 kills, 18 digs, and five aces. Those 19 kills gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of ABBY DEERING, who had ten digs and five kills.

They weren't the only good server: Jefferson Davis Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. They are 4-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

Jefferson Davis Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for South Aiken Baptist Christian, they now have a losing record of 5-6-1.

Jefferson Davis Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Sandhills on the 9th. As for South Aiken Baptist Christian, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against King Academy on the 9th.
