Basketball Game Preview: Firestone Falcons vs. Roosevelt Rough Riders

The Firestone Falcons will challenge the Roosevelt Rough Riders at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Firestone is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Washington on Monday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Firestone had to suffer through a 92-13 loss at the hands of Washington. The Falcons have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Firestone got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Kennedy Whiting and Mariah Richards, who each put up four points.

Meanwhile, Roosevelt suffered their biggest defeat since December 7, 2024 on Saturday. They came up short against Hudson, falling 57-32. While losing is never fun, the Rough Riders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 218th, while the Explorers are ranked 53rd).

Roosevelt has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season. As for Firestone, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12.
