Softball Recap: College Park Wins Going Away Against Northgate

College Park won the last time they faced Northgate and things went their way on Thursday too. The Falcons put the hurt on the Broncos with a sharp 9-3 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.

The team relied heavily on Alexis Weiler, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March. Maya Davis was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

College Park pushed their record up to 6-7-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Northgate, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. College Park will challenge Clayton Valley Charter at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Ugly Eagles have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season. As for Northgate, they will square off against Las Lomas at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
