Baseball Recap: Las Lomas Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Las Lomas, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They blew past the Berean Christian Eagles 11-3 on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Knights: when they faced off against the Eagles on Monday, they had to take a 8-5 loss.

Noah Sison tossed a big game, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits.

At the plate, Jack Foscalina was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Wright, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Las Lomas' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-9-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Berean Christian, the defeat snapped their winning streak at nine games and leaves them with a 16-6 record.

Looking ahead, Las Lomas will welcome San Rafael at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Berean Christian, they will head out to square off against Northgate at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Eagles 3.9, the Broncos 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
