Mesquite won the last time they faced Poston Butte and Parker Kaczmarek did his part to make sure it happened again. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 31-7 margin over the Broncos on Friday with plenty of help from Kaczmarek, who rushed for 197 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.4 yards per carry. He is becoming a predictor of Mesquite's success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 5-2 (and 0-3 when he doesn't).

Despite the loss, Poston Butte still got an impressive performance from Easton Filetti, who rushed for 109 yards and one score. Filetti was even better on defense, picking up two sacks and making seven total tackles.

With the victory, Mesquite broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-5. As for Poston Butte, they dropped their record down to 0-10 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Mesquite will take on Coconino at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Kaczmarek and Dylan Callado. Poston Butte does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
