Game recap: Wayne Trace High School Football Team bests Edgerton

After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by Colby Spiece to Cole Shepherd in the first quarter, Wayne Trace (Haviland, Ohio) was up 38-0 at the half.

The Raiders scored 30 points in the first quarter on the way to a win. Wayne Trace scored on a Spiece touchdown pass to Shepherd, a touchdown pass by Spiece to Jake Gerber, a Spiece touchdown run and a Spiece touchdown pass to Jake Arend in the quarter.

WT came into the game allowing 13.4 points per game.

Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 47-14 win for the Haviland school.



The loss comes after Edgerton defeated Antwerp 53-12 last week.

In a Green Meadows game next week Edgerton (1-5) takes on Ayersville, and Wayne Trace (6-0) will go up against Hicksville also in a Green Meadows game.
