There's no place like home for Crawford, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in March. They were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Bruceville-Eddy Eagles on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won five games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Cade Carroll spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Cameron Parsons was a standout: he scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. He also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ryan Yocham, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5.

Crawford hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bruceville-Eddy struck out six times.

Crawford's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 7-8. As for Bruceville-Eddy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Crawford will have a chance to go back-to-back against Bruceville-Eddy: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
