Softball Recap: Northern Freeze co-op [Marshall County Central/Tri-County] Takes a Loss

After flying high against Crookston on Thursday, Northern Freeze co-op [Marshall County Central/Tri-County] came back down to earth. The Northern Freeze fell just short of the Mahnomen/Waubun Thunderbirds by a score of 9-7 on Friday. The Northern Freeze were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Thunderbirds apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Northern Freeze co-op [Marshall County Central/Tri-County]'s loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Mahnomen/Waubun, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Northern Freeze co-op [Marshall County Central/Tri-County] nor Mahnomen/Waubun have any future games scheduled.
