Softball Recap: Bethlehem Eagles/Banshees vs. Washington County Commanders

Bethlehem stacked a tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They blew past the Washington County Commanders 21-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for Bethlehem.

Alexis Hume made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Hume was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and a triple.

In other batting news, Bethlehem got a massive performance out of Sarah Dawson, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 4-for-5. Kaitlyn Cissell was another key contributor, scoring three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Bethlehem has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Washington County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bethlehem will challenge Thomas Nelson at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Washington County, they will head out on the road to face off against Caverna at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
