            Basketball Recap: Brillion Lions vs. Chilton Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            Brillion came up into this matchup off a tough 20-point  defeat last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Chilton Tigers by a score of  52-50 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  loss the Lions have suffered  since December 28, 2023.

  Amaya Brooks and  Camden Hale certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss.  Brooks  went 8 of 18  on her way to 20  points along with seven  rebounds and five  assists, while  Hale  went 5 for 10  en route to 13 points and five  boards. What's more,  Hale also racked up two  blocks, the most she's  had since back in November of 2023.  Emma Schuh was another key player,  putting up eight points.
Brillion's defeat  ended  a  five-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 10-6. As for Chilton, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won six of their last seven contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record  this season.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brillion has  already played their next  match (against Southern Door), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Chilton will have some time to savor their  victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Sheboygan Falls at 7:00  p.m.  on February 6th.
