Softball Recap: West Valley Takes a Loss

After flying high against Rogers on Tuesday, West Valley came back down to earth. The Eagles lost 12-6 to the Pullman Greyhounds on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Greyhounds this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-4 back in March.

Haylee Kelly was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four stolen bases, and three runs. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games she's played.

West Valley has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Pullman, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Greyhounds beat West Valley by a score of 15-7 later that day.
