Football Recap: Clinton County Takes a Loss

The Clinton County Bulldogs had to suffer through a 49-6 loss at the hands of the Somerset Briar Jumpers. The matchup marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Clinton County and nudges their season record down to 1-6. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 5-1 Monroe County (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 84.5% over those games). As for Somerset, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Looking ahead, after each having a week off, Clinton County and Green County will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for Somerset, they will face off against Monroe County at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. The Briar Jumpers will need to watch out since the Falcons have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games.
