Soccer Recap: Stanton's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

Stanton had to endure an eight-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. Their defense stepped up to hand the Ribault Trojans a 9-0 shutout on Thursday. Stanton's offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last six games.

Their offense was hitting Ribault from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Lucero Parada led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Stanton's victory bumped their record up to 3-12. As for Ribault, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

As of now, neither Stanton nor the Trojans have any future games scheduled.
