Basketball Recap: Whitehall Comes Up Short

Whitehall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 38-33 heartbreaker at the hands of the Jefferson Panthers. The Trojans lost against the Panthers in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 63-30 score last time.

Whitehall's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Jefferson, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Whitehall will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Manhattan at 7:30 p.m. on the 16th. As for Jefferson, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 38-33 victory against Whitehall/Harrison/Willow Creek on the 3rd.
