Recap: St. Joseph Cadets vs. Ridgefield Tigers

The St. Joseph Cadets won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They were dealt a 71-43 loss at the hands of Ridgefield. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points St. Joseph has scored all season.

St. Joseph's loss came despite strong showings from Sean Christy and Tj Wright. Christy scored 16 points along with three blocks, while Wright scored 16 points along with three steals. That was a full 37.2% of St. Joseph's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Bryant, who scored a point along with six rebounds and three steals.

St. Joseph has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Ridgefield, their win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Joseph will take on Darien at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Darien's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups. As for Ridgefield, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Norwalk at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. Norwalk will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
