Basketball Game Preview: St. Augustine Prep Hermits vs. Penns Grove Red Devils

The St. Augustine Prep Hermits and the Penns Grove Red Devils will round out the year against one another at at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. St. Augustine Prep will be strutting in after a win while Penns Grove will be coming in after a loss.

St. Augustine Prep is headed into the game having just posted their biggest victory since December 29, 2023 on Saturday. They blew past KIPP Cooper Norcross 52-30. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hermits.

Meanwhile, Penns Grove suffered their closest defeat since January 22nd on Friday. They fell just short of Delsea by a score of 53-51.

St. Augustine Prep's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Penns Grove, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Everything came up roses for St. Augustine Prep against Penns Grove in their previous matchup back in January of 2016, as the squad secured an 86-36 victory. In that contest, St. Augustine Prep amassed a halftime lead of 41-18, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Monday.
