Basketball Recap: Armstrong Victorious

Armstrong won the last time they faced Petersburg, and Cherish Daily did her part to make sure it happened again. The stars were shining brightly for the Armstrong Wildcats in a 58-41 victory over the Petersburg Crimson Wave on Thursday thanks in part to Daily, who went 13 of 17 on her way to 27 points in addition to eight assists and eight boards. The game was her seventh in a row with at least ten points.

Armstrong's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Petersburg, their loss was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-4.

Armstrong wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 76-65 victory against Dinwiddie on the 27th. After both having extra time off, Petersburg and Varina will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
