Soccer Recap: Anna-Jonesboro Victorious

Anna-Jonesboro gave up the first goal on Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them down. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Wildcats who were credited with the victory. The Anna-Jonesboro Wildcats got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Centralia Orphans's four.

Ethan Plott and Logan Pearl scored both of Anna-Jonesboro's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

The win got Anna-Jonesboro back to even at 1-1. As for Centralia, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Anna-Jonesboro and Centralia will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Wildcats are set to take on their familiar foe Carterville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Centralia will challenge rival Marion at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
