Basketball Recap: Patuxent Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Patuxent can now relate to. They took a blow against the McDonough Rams on Friday, falling 77-31. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Kamauri Jones was Patuxent's leading scorer, having posted ten points. Jones also led the team in assists with three. Andrew Marburger held things down on the boards with six rebounds.

Patuxent's loss dropped their record down to 1-22. As for McDonough, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-9.

Patuxent does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for McDonough, they will square off against La Plata at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in McDonough's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.
