Meanwhile, St. Johns had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They won by a set and slipped past the Spartans 3-2.
It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day St. Johns got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 22-25, 25-21, 23-25, 15-12.
St. Johns kept the net locked down and finished the game with 19 blocks. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northland Prep Academy didn't had any.
Pinon's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for St. Johns, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
