Softball Recap: Byron-Bergen Comes Up Short

If Byron-Bergen was feeling good fresh off their 16-4 takedown of Holley on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bees came up short against the Attica Blue Devils on Wednesday, falling 14-6. The loss continues a trend for the Bees in their meetings with the Blue Devils: they've now lost three in a row.

Byron-Bergen saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lauren Gartz, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Byron-Bergen's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Attica, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-7.

Looking ahead, Attica will face off against Holley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Byron-Bergen will be paying especially close attention to the Blue Devils' contest: after the Blue Devils face off against Perry, they'll take on Byron-Bergen again at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
