Salado had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They won by a goal and slipped past the Lumberton Raiders 2-1. The win was nothing new for Salado as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Damonte Foster and Luke Anderson scored both of Salado's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Salado's victory was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-3-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those 11 games. As for Lumberton, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-6-2.

Looking ahead, Salado will take on Progreso on Thursday. Progreso will roll in looking for their 30th straight victory, something Salado surely won't give up without a fight. Lumberton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
