After a string of six wins, Grapevine's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Leander Lions by a score of 2-1. The match marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Grapevine's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Leander, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Looking ahead, Grapevine will face off against St. Michael's at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Leander, they are on the road again on Saturday to play Vandegrift at 11:00 a.m.
