Soccer Game Preview: Independence vs. Winona

The Independence Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Winona Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Independence will be strutting in after a victory while Winona will be coming in after a defeat.

Independence is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Grenada on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Winona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 7-0 to South Panola. That's two games in a row now that Winona has lost by exactly seven goals.

Winona's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Independence, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3-1.
