It was a good run, but DePaul College Prep unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Marmion Cadets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cadets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in April.

DePaul College Prep was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-23.

DePaul College Prep's loss dropped their record down to 20-12. As for Marmion, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-17.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. DePaul College Prep will head out to face off against New Trier at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Marmion, they will take on Montini Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
