Volleyball Recap: Math & Science College Preparatory Takes a Loss

If Math & Science College Preparatory was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Maywood Academy last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Math & Science College Preparatory Sharks fell 3-1 to the Larchmont Charter Timberwolves on Monday. The Sharks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Timberwolves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Math & Science College Preparatory started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 26-24, 25-20, 25-23.

Math & Science College Preparatory's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Math & Science College Preparatory is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will face off against Fairfax at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Larchmont Charter, they will challenge Contreras at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
