Baseball Game Preview: Centennial Huskies vs. Great Oak Wolfpack

The Centennial Huskies will take on the Great Oak Wolfpack at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither Centennial nor Great Oak posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Centennial had taken Santiago down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. Centennial fell just short of Santiago by a score of 3-2. The loss was the Huskies' first of the season.

Joseph Malki was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits.

On the hitting side, Centennial saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Simpson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Great Oak was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 4-1 to Fountain Valley.

Having lost for the first time this season, Centennial fell to 8-1. As for Great Oak, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
