It's playoff time, and Hillcrest had no trouble coming through when it counted. They had just enough and edged out the Ocean View Seahawks 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Trojans have posted since March 21, 2024.

Hillcrest has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Ocean View, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-17 record this season.

Hillcrest will face off against Kennedy at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Trojans 3.4, the Fighting Irish 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. Ocean View does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
