University Prep suffers 13th straight loss at home

Recap: University Prep Jaguars vs. Hesperia Christian Patriots

This season hasn't been kind to the University Prep Jaguars, who are still winless after their 15th game. They took a 43-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hesperia Christian on Friday. University Prep has not had much luck with Hesperia Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hesperia Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ethan Flores, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and two blocks. Flores hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Jackson Lake was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with nine rebounds.

University Prep bumped their record down to 0-15 with that defeat, which was their 13th straight at home. As for Hesperia Christian, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. University Prep will take on Riverside Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hesperia Christian, they will be playing at home against Big Bear at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Big Bear has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 520 points over their last eight games.
