Basketball Recap: Mojave Takes a Loss

Mojave was the 66-35 winner over California City when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs were outmatched by the Ravens and fell 62-15.

Leading California City to victory were Avery 'Skywalker' Spears and Cassius 'Hollywood' Brown. Spears posted 13 points along with eight boards and three steals, while Brown had 12 points in addition to six assists and four steals. What's more, Spears posted four assists, the most he's had since back in January. DeShawn 'Pocket Magic' Elizalde was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Mojave's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for California City, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Mojave has already played their next contest (against Immanuel Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. California City also has no score uploaded for their next matchup, this one against Lone Pine.
