Baseball Recap: Elliot Christian Takes a Loss

Elliot Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Aspire Langston Hughes Academy Titans, falling 8-1. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

Elliot Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Justus Tokheim, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Elliot Christian's record now sits at 0-8. As for Aspire Langston Hughes Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elliot Christian will host Humphreys Able Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Aspire Langston Hughes Academy, they will be playing at home against Turlock Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Titans surely won't give up without a fight.
