Salem has gone a perfect 3-0 against Portsmouth recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Blue Devils will face off against the Clippers at 5:00 p.m. Salem's pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so Portsmouth's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Wednesday, Salem got the win against Keene by a conclusive 10-2. The result was nothing new for the Blue Devils, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Portsmouth posted their closest win since April 14th on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Timberlane 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Clippers.

Salem's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-6. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Portsmouth, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.

Salem took their victory against Portsmouth in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 15-1 score. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Clippers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
