Soccer Recap: Seminole Comes Up Short

If Seminole was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Eustis last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Seminole Seminoles lost 7-1 to the Lake Mary Rams on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Seminoles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 197th, while the Rams are ranked 15th).

Seminole now has a losing record at 5-6-1. As for Lake Mary, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2-2 record this season.

Seminole is taking a road trip to take on Freedom at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Freedom is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season. As for Lake Mary, they will be playing in front of their home fans against XL Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Mary will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
