            Baseball Recap: Raytown Bluejays vs. Truman Patriots        
        
		
        
        
            Raytown had lost seven straight on the road, but  on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 3-16 to make it eight. They came up short against  the Truman Patriots, falling  11-1. That's two games in a row now that the Bluejays have lost by  exactly ten  runs.
As for Truman, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 12 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-13 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games.
 For Truman's part,  the team  relied heavily on  Caden Deeney, who  got on base  in all three of his plate appearances with two  stolen bases and three  runs. That's the most  stolen bases  Deeney has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was  Nich Dawson, who  got on base  in all three of his plate appearances with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI.
 Coming up, Raytown is taking a road trip to  challenge Platte County  at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Pirates' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8  runs per game  this season, so the Bluejays' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Truman, they will host Fort Osage  at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
